There is no reason to dress up; sport and lounging attire is the norm. Typical Juneau Charter ItineraryAn Alaska vacation adventure! Experience the best of Alaska's Inside Passage from your private motor yacht. Day 1: Leave about noon and travel to Swanson Harbor at Pt. Couverden. We will be traveling through some of the best whale watching areas of the trip. Swanson Harbor is a beautiful little harbor nestled amid the island which make up Pt. Couverden. Once in Swanson Harbor, we will set out crab pots at the head of the bay and explore the islands with the tenders. Day 2: Today we catch some fresh fish for our chef. Possible spots could be Pt. Rocky island, Hanus Reef, or Iyoukeen Cove. Move on to Pavlof Harbor for the night and anchor off the waterfall. As we go by, we will look for the whales which are often seen off Pt. Augusta and in the evening we may see some grizzlies fishing below the falls. Day 3: Move on down Chatham Straights to Warm Springs Bay with a stop to explore Basket Bay along the way. Possibly stop at Morris Reef for some fish ing action. At Warm Springs, anchor up in one of the isolated coves in the bay and hike up to the lake and the waterfall and have a great soak in the hot tubs or pools. At the end of the day move up to Takatz Bay for a beautiful, quiet anchorage for the night. Day 4: Leave in the morning for the peace and isolation of Red Bluff Bay. Explore the great waterfalls in the bay & set some shrimp pots. Possibly explore the creek and keep a sharp lookout for bears in the creek and the meadows. Day 5: Travel to Chapin Bay or Eliza Harbor. Depending on the weather, we might try trolling for some salmon off Security Bay along the way. Look for whales bubble netting. Set some shrimp pots in the entrance and take the tenders ashore to explore the shore. Day 6: Leave fairly early and travel through Frederick Sound and Stevens Passage to Ice berg Cove via the Brothers and possibly a short stop on one of the entrance Islands in Pybus Bay. Look for whales and sea lions. Today we might try for some halibut on one of the sea mounds along the way. Day 7: Explore Tracy Arm or Endicott, depending on prevailing winds and ice conditions. Visit glaciers & look for seals and mountain goats. End up for the evening in Iceberg Cove. This will be a long day of travel to explore all the sights. Day 8:Leave early to travel to Juneau arriving about noon, in time for the afternoon jet to Seattle. |
